DSS Arrests : PDP Groups Ask Security Agents, APC to Release Bako,Makama before Saturday’s Elections

People’s Democratic Party (PDP) support groups under umbrella of PDP Revival Movement want the Department of State Security (DSS) and ruling party All Progressives Congress (APC) to release the two arrested party stalwarts before the Saturday 16 elections .
According to the groups ,failure to do so will amount to disenfranchising them from exercising their civic responsibility .
The DSS recently arrested the Director General, Media and Publicity of Kaduna gubernatorial candidate ,Mr. Ben Bako and former Kaduna PDP Chairman, Alhaji Yaro Makama over alleged hate speech.

The Coalition of PDP support groups ,which expressed disappointment over what they described as “deliberate clampdowns by APC “, accused the govt of using the so called hate speech video to persecute opposition members .

Addressing journalists at Kaduna PDP Secretariat Office on Thursday , leader of the Coalition ,Engineer Abdullahi Adamu said after close study of the statements made by the arrested party members, there have been worst statements made by the governor and officials of APC.

Whiling Challenging the government to show, where two arrested party members have violate the constitution , he said ,”El-Rufai and Buhari made worst statements than those of the two party members, yet nothing was done to them.

He therefore called on the police to be neutral in carrying their duties,especially during the 2019 elections .Adding , ” they are not out to serve any government in power ,but the people ”

The Leaders who urged the PDP supporters across the state to be mindful of their utterance also charged

party members to work for victory and remain calm before, during and after the elections .

He equally urged all eligible voters and party supporters to go the polling units on 16th February to cast their votes and avoid intimidation .
