Northern Group Renews Call for APC to Field Senator Kabiru Gaya for Deputy Senate Presidency
…says his emergence’ll stabilise the Senate

Arewa APC Solidarity Forum (AASF) a group of APC supporters from the North has renewed its call for the ruling party, the All Progressive Congress (APC) to put its house in order and push for Senator Kabiru Ibrahim Gaya (APC Kano South) for the 9th Assembly Deputy President to avoid the intrigue that brought emergence of opposition party producing the deputy senate president in the 8th Senate.
The President of the group, Comrade Bulama Abdulrahman said that the call has become more imperative going by the dogged fight by Senator Kabiru Ibrahim Gaya for the of release of Zainab Adamu, a student of Maitama Sule University, Kano who was framed of carrying offensive drug by the Saudi Arabia authorities to the Saudi Arabia.
Comrade Bulama said the articulate presentation by the former Kano State governor which saw the release of Zainab from the Arabian authorities is indeed a lofty effort that needs to be carried to the national front for the benefit of all Nigerians. He said that Gaya’s fight justice was not for only Zainab but another Ibrahim Abubakar a seventy-five year old Nigerian who also framed like Zainab.
He added that Senator Gaya went to the extent of personal investigation to discover the innocence of these alleged drug peddlers adding that six persons have been arrested and being prosecuted because of Senator Gaya’s effort at righting the wrongs of some people. He further said that it was time for people who have the interest of the country at heart to be given the opportunity for true service to the people.
The AASF President also said the senator’s effort needs compensation and encouragement hence the call for his deputy senate presidency to be supported by all well meaning Nigerians.
