Umahi Swears in Attorney General ,Other Key Functionaries

Governor David Nweze Umahi of Ebonyi state, Thursday sworn in the key functionaries of his administration for second term at Exco Chamber, Government House, Abakaliki.
The Governor sworn in the state Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr. Cletus N. Ofoke, alongside Dr. Kenneth Ugbala as new Secretary to Ebonyi State Government (SSG), Hon. Clement Nweke as Principal Secretary, and Dr. Offor Okorie Emmanuel as his Chief of Staff.
Umahi also has sworn in Barrister Joseph Ekummanka as the Senior Special Assistant to the #tate Governor on Abuja Liaison Office, Mr Chinako Aniakor-Special Assistant to the Governor on Security and Utility for the state’s Capital city, Mr. Benedict Nwovu-Special Assistant on Security and Utility, Ebonyi North zone, Mr. Nwoba Onyekachi-Special Assistant on Security and Utility, Ebonyi Central zone, Mr Chika Nwangele-Special Assistant on Security and Utility, Ebonyi South zone.
He has as well sworn in Barrister Sunday Nwankwo Special Assistant to Deputy Governor’s Office and Sir Emmanuel Uzor as Chief Press Secretary.
Speaking after the swearing in ceremony, Umahi advised all the appointees to work selflessly for the development of the state and not using public office for their personal gains.
He made it clear that all his appointees in his second tenure are coming to work and not to enjoy themselves as he intensified his fight against cultism in the state.
He promised to carry all his Exco members both past and the present along in all his policies plans till end of his second tenure administration; cautioning them not to complain of money because there is none as the ministries over heads have been brought down by fifty percent.
Umahi equally stated that the new SGG will continue to be the acting commissioner for Internal Security and Boarder Peace because of the brilliant work he did in the ministry when he was there, saying he would not entertain any excuse from him.
It is also gathered that Governor Umahi had asked Dr. Ugbala to draw list of people that would constitute his new Technical Assistants, TAs, and also pronounced the abolishments of over heads for Technical Assistants and from now they would work with their principal ministries.
