Ebonyi Factory Electrocution: Police Confirmed 2 Dead ,others hospitalised

Two persons one Usulor Chukwudi and the other whose name was given as Justice were confirmed dead among four persons said have fallen victims of electrocution in their working place in the heart of the State, Abakaliki.
The two dead victims of electrocution incidence are from Ezza North and Ikwo Local Council Areas of the state.
Our correspondent learnt that the duo have been confirmed dead after four persons were electrocuted at Kings Agro Factory located at Nise Street in Abakaliki town.
The four persons were confirmed to be workers of Kings Agro Factory and they were working with their head, Onyebuchi Anworo at the exact time the ladder they were working with fell on top of a naked electric wire which led to the incident.
However, after the incident, the victims became unconscious and were immediately rushed to the Alex Ekwueme Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki, were Chukwudi and Justice were later confirmed dead.
Nevertheless, the two living victims, Onwe Emmanuel and Akochi Chineme were equally confirmed receiving treatment in the hospital, whereas their boss is currently in police custody to help police with further investigations on the incident.
According to the Police Spokesperson, DSS Loveth Odah, the two dead victims were still in the hospital, but the other living victims were said receiving treatment.
Hear her: It was 6pm on Friday on 26th of July, 2019 that one Onyebuchi Anworo of Ukwuansi street, Abakalki an Alumaco engineer with Aguegbo Chisco Aliminum company came to Eke -Aba central police station and reported that same date, that while they were fixing Alumanco widows at Kings Agro Factory at Nise street by Afikpo road in company of four of his workers an iron ladder which they used in their working place fell on top of a naked electric cable wire and got four of the workers electrocuted and they became unconscious.
“The victims were rushed to Alex Ekwueme Federal Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki. The victims one Akochi Chineme, 32 years of Oriuzor, Ezza South , Onwe Emmanuel 32 years of 55 Nteje street, Usulor Chukwudi of Oziuzor Ezza North and one Justice of Ikwo whose surname is unknown.”
She further hinted that the two dead victims, among the four persons were confirmed dead at FETHA while the two others are responding to treatment now.
She added, “the DPO led operation to the area, visited the scene of the crime and hospital and the two are in stable condition.
“Onyebuchi was taken to police station for questioning and the matter is under investigation to ascertain if there is a foul play”, to know the root cause of the incident.
