The Panel has heard from one of the accused, Comrade Chinedu Ogah, who was in the recent time declared by the tribunal the winner of the Ezza South-Ikwo Federal Constituency for having allegedly masterminded the crisis in their different sittings, invited the council’s six stakeholders to appear before them on Thursday 12th September to defend some issues linked to their names; among them include, Amb. While Speaking, Barr. Robert Onu Ude, standing-in for the Secretary of the Panel, called those whose names were mentioned to hearken to their call so as to contribute to the first resolution of the issue in controversy .
A member of the panel, Ezeogo, Ewa Elechi, advised the invitees to honour the call to enable the constituted body bring resolution to the long lasted crisis in the area, adding that governor Umahi’s led administration would never relent in ensuring peace restored in all parts of the state.
However, Comrade Ogah, blamed the rift on some political leaders from the area who in his words have been allegedly extorting the villagers and causing misunderstanding in the community, stated that those accusing him who has been absconding from the Panel are the cause of the imbriglio.
Comrade Ogah further shifted blames on the rift to some politicians from the area whom he said, are fighting to remain in the political front and at the same time fighting to ensure nobody outside their lineage gain political position adding that those political big fingers had allegedly caused developmental backwardness in their clan.
Ogah hinted he has appeared before the panel in two different occasions, pointing that the petitioners and his accusers had absconded from the hearing.
Our Correspondent gathered that the petitioners’ abscence was allegedly linked to the case of their group member who was arrested by men of Nigeria Police Force at the venue of the sitting last week after the end of the hearing, therefore, entertaining fear of further arrest as the panel was confirmed that the arrest has no connection with the case in the court in the area.
