Economic Advisory Council: Nigeria may be lifted from 3rd world nations- Senator Girei
Senator Abubakar Girei has described the just constituted economic advisory council by President Muhammadu Buhari as timely and capable of lifting the country out of the 3rd world nations.
Reacting to the setting up of the economic council in a statement, Girei who served one term as a lawmaker for Adamawa Central during former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s administration, noted that the economic council has a workable resemblance of economic model used by Singapore about 40 years ago that saw it out of the woods.
He gave kudos to President Buhari for the achievement and congratulated Nigerians for coming to seeing the reality of ‘next level’
Girei said, “The establishment of an Economic Advisory Council by President Muhammadu Buhari (PMB) is not only timely but very reassuring that this government is determined to lift our dear nation from 3rd world to 1st as was done by President Lee Kuan Yew of Singapore 40 years ago.
“I am particularly delighted with the choice and composition of such a high calibre of membership of the council.
“They are all financial and economic experts who will, no doubt, empower the government with policies and strategies that will jump start our economy and put us on the path of sustainable growth and development.
“I say Kudos to Mr. President for this unprecedented achievements and congratulation to all Nigerians for being at the Next level already”.
