Security Challenges : Kaduna Govt Holds Meeting with Communities

Kaduna State Government, on Friday held peace meeting with Fulani leaders in Kaura local government area of the state, saying it will continue with its peace efforts to address security challenges across the state and ensure lasting peace in communities.

Samuel Aruwan, Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, who stated this during  a meeting with Fulani, Chawai and Iregwe community leaders in Kauru Local Government Area of the state, said the gathering is in continuation of government engagement and outreach efforts in  pursuing peace in the state. 
Aruwan said ,the engagement  is yielding positive result noting  that all stakeholders have agrees to set up vigilant group to support troops of the Operation Safe Haven and police operating on Kaduna-Plateau states border. 
He expressed happiness, with the feedback:”We are getting and will continue to work towards sustainable peace and security”
Aruwan, appealed to the people of the area to take messages to their subjects: “We will continue to be here and we don’t want to give a break ,we came here in December, January and now back again. 
“Peace is very important,and we have been going round  the state meeting with critical stakeholders on the importance of peace and the need for all to recourse to the law. We are also complementing security agencies in enhancing internal security of the State” 

 In his remarks, Dauda Ravo Representative  of the District Head of Unguwan Magaji Chawai, said it was an opportunity to appraise the issues and come up with more idea for lasting peace.
Ravo,however, called on Fulani native to return to their homes.
On their part, leader of the Fulani community, Ardo Garkuwa, and Mr Sunday Durai all agreed on the need to have joint taskforce to supervise imposter who come to their community to commit crime.
They called on people of area to forgive one another and forge ahead for more development to come to their area .
On his part,Engr. Morris Yaris who is  also resident of the community, advocates the need for local joint taskforce to control inflow and out flow of people coming into the community.
