The Senator representing Kaduna North Senatorial District Senator Suleiman Abdu Kwari has commiserated with Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Ahmad el-Rufai as well as the Senator Representing Kaduna Central Senatorial Distict – Senator Uba Sani on the senseless killing of over 50 people in Kerewa Village in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
This was contained in a media statement signed by the lawmaker and issued to newsmen in Kaduna.
“This is indeed one death too many and cannot be allowed to continue. Incidentally, I am also a member of the Senate Ad-hoc Committee on Nigeria’s Security Challenges with the task of redefining our Internal and National Security Architecture. We are rounding up our task and will be laying our report shortly”, he disclosed.
He also called on the security agencies to redouble their efforts by putting more troops on ground in the flash zones.
“I also call on the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development to immediately visit the affected areas and provide relief materials, including temporary shelter for the displaced survivors”, Kwari stated further.
He also thanked the Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Ahmad el Rufai for his prompt reaction and expressed confidence in his leadership ability stressing that “I assure His Excellency of my support at all times.”
