As the Lockdown over covid-19 bites harder on the people of Adamawa with the Stay at home order by the Executive Governor of the State,Rt.Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Jibrilla intervened with twenty million Naira for Tricycles riders as palliatives.
The Michika/Madagali House of Representatives Member, Honourable Zakariya Dauda Nyampa has followed suit to caution the effects of covid-19 Pandemic to his constituents.
Dauda on Wednesday assigned a delegation with two functional ambulances for the General Hospital in Michika and cottage Hospital in Madagali.
The Director General,Zakariya Dauda campaign organization,Mr Zira Tumba Guy led a delegation to assess the two Hospitals for a quick intervention by the Lawmaker in case of any emergency or eventualities during the covid-19 lockdown in the state.
Tumba on behalf of Dauda Distributed thousands of hands sanitizers,Clothes and Money to hundreds of people as a possible palliative measure to help them at this period of staying at home.
According to him Money was also presented as a token package to many households in Michika and Madagali,Food items bags of rice, gallons of oil and other materials as sanitizers, mouth and nose masks worth millions of Naira were donated.
Tumba further revealed that Dauda had also presented five hundred thousands Naira to the State committee on covid-19 as his personal donation aside the two months Salary he forfeited to help in curbing the virus.
“I’m presenting you all this base on the order of our House of Representatives Member to help you stay safe, distancing and distance yourself during this period of Lockdown order from both the Federal and State Governments.” Tumba Said.
While receiving the items, the Chairmen of Michika LGA,Michael Shehu and Madagali Local Government areas,Aiden Tsukom constituting the constituency appreciated the lawmaker show of love and kindness, prayed God to bless him for humanity sake.
When contacted, the Lawmaker told our correspondent that his constituents are most valuable people he has and concern about their present predicament caused by the World Virus.
Dauda said is a plaque that the entire world Governments are connected and resolute in fighting, calling his people to steadfastly and constantly pray fervently for God to send down succour of Mercy to wipe away the virus.
Zakariya on a phone conversation made a passionate appeal to stick to the health tips of medical personnel to regularly wash their hands, avoid too much gathering by staying at home,or socially distance themselves as the virus is being spread through the driller’s of cough.
He appreciated for being resilient and dogged to fight what is now the common enemy of life and Economy.
“I urge all to pray well and fervently against this coronavirus outbreak which is our major threat and a threat to our Economy for God to intervene quickly as you obey the order and stick to health tips of washing hands.” He said
