Taraba Lawmaker Diverts FG, State govt palliatives for personal use,Adamu alleges
Taraba State Lawmaker,Hon. Dr Ahmad Dawud Jedua who is representing Gembu Constituency in the state Assembly is accused to have diverted paliatives send by the federal and state government to his personal use by one Adamu Mohammed.
The palliatives meant to cushion the effects caused by covid-19 in Taraba State where the state Governor, Arch Ishaku Darius imposed a lockdown was many bags were hoarded in unknown place.
Hon. Ahmad according to one Adamu an indigenes of Sardauna Local Government residing in Gembu alleged he saw the Lawmaker re-bagging palliatives send by NEDC , victim support fund and ministry of humanitarian affairs and the state government for the entire Sardauna local Government using his logo and inscription at Government lodge Gembu .
Adamu said the Lawmaker is taking the glory and Distributed the rice palliative as a Sallah Package to his wards Coordinators in Gembu constituency.
Adamu also revealed that the hundreds of bags were reserved for him by the CTC Chairman Pharm. Oliver Wubon at government lodge Gembu , without given it to the intended beneficiaries of all the local government equally but only for him to bring it out today in the name of Sallah celebration.
He said the Lawmaker hoarded bags of rice, Noodles, hand sanitizers send Long ago for Distribution but collaborated with the chairman, Sardauna LGA refused to Distribute to people to cushion the pains caused by covid-19.
“Honestly politicians can be very funny,our people have been crying for hungry because of lockdown and the government send down palliatives but only some class of people highjacking it for their own political selfish reasons.
“I’m calling the executive Governor of our dear State to investigate this matter,a Lawmaker diverting palliative, hoarding it for his own personal Distribution to portray him a good Angels and the federal and state government be seen enemy of the people.
“What the Man did is a crime against humanity, claiming the agenda of the state and federal government is not ideal and I think is a crime against the people of our community.” Adamu said.
All efforts to reach the Lawmaker on his MTN telephone number failed and the chairman Sardauna LGA phone number was not also going through at the time of filing in this report.
