By Victor Nwegede
The leadership of Ebonyi State Chapter of Inter Party Advisory Council has vigorously expressed anger on an acclaimed Publicity Secretary, Mr. Chinedum Elekwachi for having engaged in circulations and publications of false information that gives negative light to the council these days in the state.
The IPAC Chairman, Comrade Morgan Nwogba made this known on Friday while briefing newsmen in Abakaliki.
Comrade Nwogba who frown at the repeated circulations of false information by Mr. Elekwachi, described him as an embattled IPAC Publicity Secretary in the state, saying that he is widely known for impersonation and tarnishment of the image of the council.
However, the IPAC Boss unveiled his plan to use security agencies to arrest the embattled Publicity Secretary, Mr. Elekwachi for his obvious impersonation and several actions portraying the council in a negative light.
Hear him, “the IPAC members in Ebonyi State have noted with dismay the criminal activities of one Chinedum Elekwachi, the embattled state chairman of APP, who has been impersonating the office of the State Publicity Secretary of IPAC, and has been making social media posts culpable of causing disunity and breach of public peace and order in the state.”
The Chairman has also called on the general public to totally disregard any information coming from the said Chinedum Elekwachi, as such information are not only fake, but total fabrications, fallacy and falsehood.
“The said Elekwachi is neither the Publicity Secretary nor even currently a member of IPAC Ebonyi State, but had since been suspended from the Council due to his nefarious activities.
“He is therefore not authorized to issue any statement in the name of the council in the state.
“We call on the general public to disregard him and his fake press releases, and urge the security agencies to monitor Chinedum Elekwachi, the embattled chairman of APP closely and do the needful to forestall possible breach of the public peace in the state”, he added.
He reiterated his support with IPAC members to Governor Umahi, whom he said has at all times carried all political parties in the state along in governance; thanking the Governor for appointing Ebonyians into leadership positions; saying all is in the right direction for the interest of Ebonyi people.
It could be recalled that the said Mr. Chinedum Elekwachi had in a several occasion accused the leadership of state IPAC to have hijacked pallatives given to the council members recently by the state government including other petitions he filed on-behalf of the council, criticising the appointment of Chief Lazarus Ogbee by the state Governor as a Commissioner, among others.
