Akinbami Appreciates Governor Oyetola on His Appointment, Salutes Ademola Adesina’s Led Management Committee
The new Vice President of Osun United football club, Vincent Akinbami has appreciated Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola for giving him the opportunity to contribute his quota to the development of sports in his state through his appointment as the Club’s Vice President.
The Ifetedo born football technocrat and a Chartered Accountant, in an appreciation message to the Governor over his appointment described Governor Gboyega Oyetola as a thoroughbred politician and a goal-getter who is always meticulous in his approaches and a lover of sports.
“I thank his Excellency for the opportunity given me to be part of the management committee of Osun United. I am particularly happy to be part of the great Osun United’s managerial squad that has an experienced, versatile and veteran ex-international, Ademola Adesina as the leader together with other committee members who are all professionals.
“I am also grateful to the Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Mr. Yemi Lawal and the Special Adviser, Aremo Gboyega Adelabu for their support and several ideas and initiatives that can bring fortunes to the club.
“I want to reaffirm that I am fully ready to work with other committee members for the progress and development of football in my state and I want to assure the Governor that as a management, we won’t disappoint the state in the mandate given to us to turn the fortune of Osun United around positively.”
The former Ranchers Bees FC of Kaduna manager however solicited for more support from the State Government and the Ministry of Youth and Sports in getting the required fund to assist the management committee in their desire at improving players welfare and give Osun United a new facelift.
“It’s a new dawn for Osun United and we need government’s full support pending the time the club will be self-sustaining and our plans at reducing the total reliance on the government for funding will begin to manifest. I want to assure everyone that within the next three years, the club’s will become asset to the government,” concluded the former Chairman of Nigeria Council of Registered Insurance Brokers, Kaduna State Chapter
