Redeploy SARS Personnel to Zamfara to fight Banditry, Criminal Activities,Matawalle Urges FG

The Governor of Zamfara State , Alhaji Bello Mohammed Matawalle has attributed the recent rise in criminal activities in the State to disbandment of Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).
According to the Governor, from the day SARS was banned , the activities of bandits and other criminal elements have increased in Zamfara .
At least 20 persons were killed by armed bandits, who raided Tungar Kwana Village of Talata-Mafara Local Government Area of Zamfara State on Tuesday night.
Fielding questions from journalists in Kaduna on the recent attack after rising from an emergency meeting of the Northern States Governors Forum in Kaduna on Thursday, Governor Bello Mohammed said SARS personnel have helped in several ways to contain and fight banditry and rising criminal activities in the State .
He maintained , ” We need all of the SARS personnel in Zamfara State .
“We know how they are contributing to end banditry and other criminal activities .SARS has done a lot in Zamfara state ,hence our request for deployment of all personnel to our state .
” Most o the police men raiding the bushes are SARS personnel and since it was banned ,we are suffering attacks
” I am going to see Mr President over the worsening security situation in Zamfara state as at yesterday .And as a government , we would do some fast to contain the attacks”
