Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed of Bauchi State has applauded the leadership qualities of his counterpart of Akwa Ibom State, Governor Udom Gabriel Emmanuel describing him as a reliable leader.
Governor Bala Mohammed extolled the qualities of his colleague when he led a high powered delegation on a condolence visit over the deaths of some illustrious sons of Akwa Ibom held at Akwa Ibom Government House.
The Bauchi Governor hailed Governor Udom for his achievements especially in the areas of infrastructure development and services and other critical sectors of the economy.
He acknowledged the foresight of the Akwa Ibom Governor for the judicious utilisation of the state resources to bring positive development to his people.
“We appreciate our brother, His Excellency, the Governor of Akwa Ibom, because he has done so much to his people and our party, the People’s Democratic Party nationwide.”
On the deaths of some illustrious sons, including a former Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshall Nsikak Eduok, Ubong Udo Ekpenyong and Otuekong Idongesit Nkanga, Governor Bala Mohammed extended the condolences and commiseration of the people of Bauchi state to the Government of Akwa Ibom.
Governor Bala Mohammed also visited Delta state where he condoled with Governor State Ifeanyi Okowa over the demise of his father, Pa Arthur Okorie Okowa and others and described the deaths as a great loss to the state.
Speaking on behalf of the National Working Committee of the People’s Democratic Party, the National Chairman of the Party, Prince Uche Secondus who led party National leaders on the condolence alongside the Bauchi Governor urges the affected families to consider the deaths as an act of God.
Responding, the Governors of Akwa Ibom and Delta States, expressed gratitude to Governor Bala Mohammed and the National Chairman of PDP alongside other members of the delegation for the condolence visit and prayed Almighty Allah to reward them abundantly.
