Nigeria Labour Congress,NLC Kaduna State Council has called on Christians to emulate the life of Jesus Christ by taking care of the less privilege in the society,loving their neighbours, practicing the teaching of Jesus on forgiveness and leaving peacefully with one another.
The Chairperson of the State Council, Comrade Ayuba Magaji Suleiman made the call in a message marking the Holy week which marks the end of the 40 days fasting and beginning of çelebration of Christ resurrection made available to journalists in Kaduna.
Comrade Ayuba Magaji Suleiman also appealed to Christians to use the Easter period to pray for the end of kidnapping, armed banditry, killings and any other form of criminality in the state and the nation in general.
“Let’s also pray for peace, unity and development of Kaduna State and the country at large” .He said .
He further appealed to Christian to follow the teaching of Jesus Christ by showing love,leaving peaceful with their brothers,be honest in there dealings,respect for the sanctity and sacredness of human life .
“I enjoined the people of Kaduna State particularly workers to imbibe these qualities and put them into practice irrespective of there denomination inclinations.
“All Christian must reflect on the good teachings of Jesus Christ on forgiveness, love, sacrifice and tolerance now and after the celebration.” He stressed.
The NLC Chairperson wishes all Christian a successful Easter celebration.
