Christmas Celebration: Hon. Ekene Urges Nigerians to Pray for Peace, Progress of Society

As the world celebrate Christmas today, Kaduna based football administrator and former Kada City  Hon. Ekene Adams Abubakar has extended his greetings to Christian Faithfuls in Kaduna and across Nigeria on the commemoration  of Christ’s birth. 


Ekene made this known through his Media aide , Comrade John Femi Adi  said Christ is the reason for the season.


In the Christmas message,Hon Ekene said  “Christmas is a significant period not only in the Christiandom, but the whole world at large, I therefore urged the people of Chikun, Kajuru, Kaduna State and Nigeria at large to use the period and pray for the betterment of our society, because peace is the universal cravings of every society right now and can be gotten only from God.”


While stating that there is need for all to embrace each other, regardless of tribe, religion and other differences, just like Jesus Christ did while on earth, the former Special Adviser on Sports to Kaduna State Speaker  also  harped on need to emulate life Christ and virtues .


The grassroots politician ,who is also known to be a humanitarian, promised  to make it a priority to always support the course of the people within  his humble capacity, especially the less privileged in the Society until life becomes worthwhile for all.


He however, congratulated Christians and Nigeria at large on the occasion of this year’s Christmas celebration.
” I believed in Unity in diversity and that is what I stand for and will continue to do, so I will like to enjoined all despite their religion to feast and celebrate with one another in the spirit of oneness. He said.
Ekene also tasked Christians to live like the Christians in Antioch where their character portrays the direct image of Christ, a King full of love.


“Our character is our identity. So I will like to call on Christians accross the globe to imbibe the characters of Christ the new born king, full of Grace and Truth. Let us live in this season with a sober reflection to see how we can better our lives and those around us.” he added.
