The Director General of the National Automotive Design and Development Council, NADDC, Jelani Aliyu, MFR, has paid a working visit to the Honourable Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Ali Pantami at the Digital Economy Complex in Abuja.
The visit which was primarily aimed at identifying areas of synergy between the automotive sector and digital technology, the meeting also had in attendance Dr Vincent Olatunji, the National Commissioner, National Data Protection Bureau, and other senior management staff of the Ministry.
During his presentation Mr Jelani Aliyu gave an overview of the NADDC and its ongoing projects across the nation which include the ongoing construction of 18 training centers, with 11 completed, where Nigerian youths are expected to be trained in different areas of the automotive sector which include computerized and embedded automotive ICT systems, and related Vehicle Electrification technologies.
In his response, Professor Pantami congratulated the DG for his achievements at the NADDC, and also thanked the Honorable Ministers of Industry, Trade and Investment, Otunba Niyi Adebayo and Ambassador Mariam Katagum for giving the NADDC all the necessary support to come this far.
The Honorable Minister also drove the Nigerian Assembled Electric Vehicle, the Hyundai Kona EV.
